Hey All, I've been trying to get Cacti up and running for the past couple of days; I finally figured out as to why my devices were giving me an unknown status after running the debug on the device '*.rrd' file. The '*.rrd' files of which my devices need have not even been generated within the 'RRA' directory and therefore Cacti can not generate graphing data. I'm so close to getting this working but when I attempt to run 'php poller.php' via the 'cacti' directory I get the following: php /var/www/cacti/poller.php Content-type: text/html X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.9 07:12:24 AM - POLLER: Poller[0] ERROR: The path: is invalid.

Check rrd file ownership. If rrd files were created e.g. With root ownership, a poller running as cactiuser will not be able to update those files. Cacti reports that graphs have been created I can see all corresponding records for the newly created graphs in the 'pooler_item' database. I have cactid which is pooling data for these graphs and receiving expected values but for wahtever reason Cacti does not create RRD files for these stats.

Can not continue Can someone help me? I know that If I can get the poller up and running I will see the graphing data and the interface status will change to Up. Hi, Upgraded to Cacti v1.1.17 a few days ago, some graph template seems to be bugged. I can't say if it was working in a previous version as I never used this graph template until now. Symptoms No RRD file created when creating some specific new kind of graphs. Concerned graph templates types are the following: • In/Out Errors/Discarded • In/Out Unicast • In/Out Non-Unicast Graph debug mode always say something like: RRDTool Says: ERROR: opening '/app/cacti-1.1.17/rra/[.]': No such file or directory This problem does NOT occur if I create a 'In/Out Bytes' graph. All tests where done on a single Device and single Interface in Cacti. Problem reproduction • I choose a device, click 'Create graph for this device', select the switch interface I want to monitor, then select 'In/Out Non-Unicast' graph type, then click Create • The graph is created and listed for this device in the Console >Management >Graphs panel, with ID 4943 in my case • Click on the item, an turn on 'Graph Debug Mode'.
